<p>Cataclysm is thought by most players to be the worst expansion that World of Warcraft has known. However, this does not mean that this poor expansion will kill World of Warcraft. In fact, Blizzard has implemented many features during Cataclysm that I feel have made the game better. This is why, for this weeks topic, I chose to talk about the three best things that Cataclysm brought to the World of Warcraft.</p>

<p>The first good change Blizzard implemented during Cataclysm is the Transmogrification feature. This is a simple feature that allows players to make their gear look like other items in the game. Though this is purely a visual thing, it is something that many players had been asking for. This feature also gives people a reason to run older content, since they will be after the gear that they like the appearance of from previous raids. This feature is also good, since it allows the customization of characters, so not all characters of the same class will particularly have the same gear. It may seem like something small and even silly, but the Transmogrification feature was a brilliant idea by Blizzard.</p>
<p>The next change that was good in Cataclysm was the changes that were made to guilds. Before, guilds were simply a group of people that hung out together and occasionally would form groups for something. However, it was hard for most players to gain a sense of dedication towards their guild. To fix this, Blizzard added many things, such as guild rewards, achievements, and a leveling system for guilds. This make players feel like more of a part of their guild, since, if they play with fellow guild members they can earn achievements and experience for their guild as well as reputation with the guild. All of these things can eventually be rewarded by purchasing mounts, pets, and other items. These rewards allow players to earn things for being an active member of their guild and helps make the guild feel closer then just a random group of people.</p>
<p>The final, and biggest positive change that happened during Cataclysm was the implementation of the Looking-For-Raid system. Though it had some problems with how loot was distributed, this feature let players who would normally not raid, kill the end bosses of an expansion. I think this is very important since Blizzard is working hard on making these boss fights, they might as well make a difficulty that everybody can experience. The LFR does this, while leaving Normal and Heroic modes as difficult as they have always been. The new LFR system was not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, however it was a huge step in the right direction by Blizzard and it will hopefully be improved upon during the next expansion.</p>

<p>Cataclysm was not a perfect expansion, in fact, many parts of it sucked. However, Blizzard did implement some very good things during this expansion. As long as they can keep building upon these good features, and learn from there mistakes, (which I will discuss in next weeks post), then World of Warcraft should become a much better game.</p>
