<p>This pandemic has taught us so much about ourselves as individuals and as a collective. We’ve learnt what matters most to us and it has shown us once and for all the things we thought that mattered but we can easily live without. There are so many things I know now that I never even stopped to consider before, like cleaning my home properly…I mean P-R-O-P-E-R-L-Y, not a light dusting and swishing a sad mop around. These are items in our home that I have either never cleaned or things that I should be cleaning way more often.</p>

<h2>1. Washing Machine</h2>
<p>This one makes sense if you think about it, but you must stop and think about it. Its sole purpose is to clean so it’s understandable if you have never cleaned yours but, like me, you need to start. Washers, upon closer inspection, are quite dirty. <h2>4. Dishwasher</h2>
<p>Do yourself a favour and go and look around the inside of your dishwasher door. I’m willing to bet you it has months of grease and grime clogged all around it – maybe even some mold too! This can all be fixed by placing a cup of white vinegar in a dishwasher-safe container on the upper rack of your machine and running it on a hot-water cycle. You should c monthly to prevent a build-up of grime and germs. <a href="https://www.goodhousekeeping.com/home/cleaning/g2877/dishwasher-tricks/">Cleaning your dishwasher</a> will also extend its life, so really it is a win-win situation.</p>
<h2>5. Toilet Brush</h2>
<p>Toilet brushes are a host for bacteria and residue, I say residue but we all know what I mean… For these reasons and many more, you need to wash your toilet brush at least once a week. Plastic toilet brushes should ideally be replaced every six months, purely because some things you just can’t get clean enough after a while.</p>
