How to Make a PDF Document Quickly and Easily

Use a PDF Converter

You can use CloudConvert or PDFCreator and drag the file you want to convert onto the site. You can also turn a PDF into an editable Word document.

Simply wait a few minutes and you can download the file and save it on your computer.  After saving it, you can pick an option to send it out via Gmail, share it online, or edit the PDF file directly.

Use the Print to PDF Feature

Did you know there’s a way to turn a page or document into a PDF via “printing?” Instead of connecting the file to an actual printer, however, you’ll be able to view and save the file as a PDF. Here’s how:

Windows PC

Most apps like Word, Office, and even NotePad have this feature. They often have export options that let you edit the quality, set up a password, and other options. Press the default print button or use the keyboard shortcut, Ctrl+P.

Next, select Print to PDF. Don’t worry this doesn’t print the file but rather saves it. Click Print and pick where to save it then you’re done.

Mac

Press the default print option or use the Cmd+P keyboard shortcut. Placed at the lower-left corner of the print dialogue, click the PDF menu. You can choose to open, save, view, edit, or add the PDF into supported applications like Evernote or Skim.

iOS and Android

Both Android and iOS offer the same feature.

On an Android device, you can open the Print option by going to the app’s menu. Select save as PDF from the Save to or the Printer menu. In iOS, head over to the Share option in an app and select Print to save it into a PDF or add it into an app.

Use a Third-Party Application

Your default document processor can also create PDF files. While there are dozens of apps out there, like OneOffice and Google Docs, we’ll focus on two of the most prominent options. Let’s start with Adobe Acrobat.

Adobe Acrobat DC

Adobe Acrobat DC can also convert any Office file, image. or webpage into a PDF.  You can also convert Word, PowerPoints, and Excel into a PDF. It’s the only PDF viewer that will let you open and edit the content.

First, launch Acrobat and go to Tools. Select Create PDF and the file type that you want to create. You can also try out Net PDF which has similar features.

Microsoft Word

Open your Microsoft office and click on the Office button. Select the Save As button and select PDF or XPS. Choose PDF in the Save as type drop-down list.
