Why We Should Share Your “Isolation” Story with the World

1 min

Amid the coronavirus, most parts of the world are in strict lockdown, forcing people to isolate themselves in their houses. This global pandemic has effects of its own, but still, self-isolation is not the same for everyone. While some people are having the time of their life by catching up with their families and spending time with their kids, many are having it in the worst of its forms.

According to a survey, domestic violence and abuse have increased globally due to self-isolation. People (mostly women) are the victims of isolation horror stories. With the whole world being crippled by COVID’19, there are not many options left for the victims of domestic violence to seek justice.

Therefore, now more than ever, you need to share your story so that the world knows the type of horrors this self-isolation is bringing to people globally.

Share to Aware

You are not the only one who is being a victim of domestic violence during isolation. There are many women and kids just like you who are forced to live with their abusers because there is no option left for them due to the aggressive spread of COVID’19.

You should share your story to make the world about your suffrage and expose your abuser. You don’t have to reveal your identity if you are not comfortable with it. Write your story anonymously on DOE and let the world see what you are going through.

Give Strength to others like you

You become the voice of people who are suffering just like you. It’ll give them hope, and maybe they gather the courage to confront their abuser after getting inspired by your story. So, if you have something to share about your isolation with your abuser, then stop having second thoughts about it. Just do it because your story can help a lot of victims.

Make Authorities Notice

Understandably, governments all around the world are busy fighting the pandemic. But, it doesn’t mean that you keep suffering from domestic abuse. Share your story so that the authorities and NGOs know that you and many others like you need their help.
