<p class="p1"><span class="s1">There’s an old proverb that reads, “It’s not the destination; it’s the journey.” Kaki West Swid appreciates this more than most. The former cover model has become a ‘model citizen’ thanks to her philanthropic endeavors. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Nowadays, Kaki is more recognizable as the face of such charitable organizations as the Wounded Warrior Project than she is for the actress and glamorous model who has and continues to grace runways and magazine covers worldwide. Yet the Irish American animal activist was destined for an eventful life from day one.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Born in Newport RI, Kaki is the daughter of New York Times bestselling author and former Ronald Regan era politician, Bing West.</span></p>

<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Growing up around a father with such an influential role was a real eye-opener for the young Kaki. And she saw firsthand the difference good intentions and hard work could make. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Kaki’s mother was a model, and as a tall and pretty girl herself, it was only natural she would follow in her mom’s footsteps <a href="https://darmowe-spiny.net/darmowa-kasa-bez-depozytu/">darmowa kasa za rejestrację bez depozytu</a>. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">At the age of 14, she signed to the prestigious Ford Modelling Agency. Her other passion was, of course, acting, and after graduating in Theatre Arts from Whittier College, she decided to concentrate on her modeling career.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">As an in-demand cover girl, Kaki was a regular on the front of such household names as FHM, Maxim, GQ, and Esquire magazine.</span></p>

<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Later on in her career, Kaki also found time to pursue her dramatic dreams and appeared in various films, and TV shows such as Entourage and The Bronx is Burning. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">After marrying New York mogul Scott L. Swid, son of the late, great business tycoon Stephen Swid, Kaki decided the time was right to start a family.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Becoming the proud mom of boy/girl twins West and Lily West, changed Kaki’s perspective on life. She was still passionate about continuing her modeling career, but she also hungered to try her hand at new things and help others.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Alongside her husband, she founded the Henry Street Settlement, ‘USO,’ and the Wounded Warrior Project. All organizations are about helping to give something back in an attempt to try and make the world a better place.</span></p>

<p class="p1"><span class="s1">As the daughter of famed writer Bing West and sister of bestselling writer, Owen West, it was only natural that Kaki would one day put pen to paper herself. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">She has just written her first movie screenplay, which has garnered attention from the executives at the streaming giant Netflix.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">The future, as always, is a blank page for Kaki, but one thing’s for sure, based on her story so far, when it is eventually written, it should make for some pretty engaging reading.</span></p>
