Tiles are thin objects assuming a square or rectangular shape. They are regarded as a manufactured piece of hard-wearing material such as ceramic, stone, metal, clay, or even glass, generally used for protecting roofs, floors, walls. Alternatively, tiles can sometimes be used to cover stone graves where names of the deceased are encrusted. Tiles are often used to form wall and floor coverings and can range from simple square tiles to complex or mosaics.

The antique tiles are tiles that are intricately designed with art that are unique and emulate historical paintings and artwork.

The use of tiles dates back in the 16th century ranging from the middle east to the Roman empire, Europe, Indian, Egypt, Asia, and other historical countries. The use of Tiles was mostly associated with wealth and monarchs and often used to create murals and a sophisticated look for temples, churches, and mosques, especially in designing domes and creating images of saints and deities. Mass production of Tiles began in the 18th century as the Industrial Revolution hit the world, and technological advancement led to the increased use of materials that are durable and more efficient.
