New Zealand Wants A New Flag And 30 Of Its Citizens Aren’t Too Serious About It

3 min

Changing a country’s flag is no laughing matter. It is not only a sign of that country’s independence, autonomy and uniqueness, but it is also the symbol under which the nation unites.

The New Zealand’s government has decided it is high time for their country to get a new flag.

Wanting to engage their citizens, making them feel as part of this historic moment, the NZ government issued a contest where everyone can submit their own design for the new flag.

The idea is commendable, but some took it as a chance to have some fun on the expense of their next national symbol. Here are 30 NZ flag submissions that are absolutely hilarious.
