If there was one more announcement about trilogies today, it would be a trilogy of trilogy announcements, which would be kind of incredible considering we rarely see such synergy in the gaming world. On October 30th the world is due for yet another installment of the Assassin’s Creed series with Assassin’s Creed III, which will for the first time head over to American shores during the American Revolution. It is one of the blockbuster titles of this fall that fans are going to be buying in droves. This means that the story of Ezio Auditore has finally ended, but it will not be forgotten, and Ubisoft is going to make sure of that.

PlayStation 3 owners on November 13th will have the opportunity to plop down $39.99 to pick up Assassin’s Creed: Ezio Trilogy, which will feature the entire Ezio saga from beginning to end. This means that on one blu-ray disc there will be Assassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood and Assassin’s Creed Revelations. On top of that, Assassin’s Creed II will have DLC included as well, which means the Bonfire of the Vanities and Battle of Forli expansions will be included on the disc. It makes sense for Ubisoft to pick the PS3 as the home for this collection, as the blu-ray disc can hold a massive amount of content (Assassin’s Creed Revelations came with the first Assassin’s Creed on the same disc, for example).

It is unclear if this collection will ever become available for another platform or if the PlayStation 3 will be the exclusive home of it. If for some reason you have missed out on the Ezio portion of the Assassin’s Creed series and own a PS3, for just $39.99 it proves to be a smart investment, especially with the multiplayer portions of Brotherhood and Revelations intact and the inclusion of II’s DLC.
