Today, Ubisoft dropped a new Splinter Cell Blacklist trailer into our laps. The trailer that is called Fifth Freedom is a referal to the orders issued to soldiers, the Fifth Freedom gives the user freedom to kill as they deem neccesary.
In the Splinter Cell series the Fifth Freedom is generally reserved for critical missions, when speed is crucial, thus rendering all the targets in your path expendable. But as the series has progressed the use of the Fifth Freedom has become considerably more loose and available. Especially in Splinter Cell : Conviction which can be played entirely lethal, but only partially non lethal, meaning that at certain points, your only option is to kill. The newest game in the series has, so far, shown that it is possible to ghost (play a stealth game) up to a certain degree, the latest footage reel stopped short of breaching a room, but it is likely that the occupants need to be dispatched before reaching the target.
