The Eurogamer Expo has hyper-expanded beautifully since it first launched several years ago. Having first taken place back in 2008 at the Old Truman Brewery in London’s East End, the event has taken off in style in the following years. Now taking place at the prestigious Earl’s Court, last year’s expo attracted 34,500 people, nearly ten times as much as the first expo in 2008.

Now, we at Explosion are happy to say that we’ll be covering the vast majority of the prestigious gaming event. Of course, by ‘we’ I mean just myself, so it’s safe to say that I’ll have my work cut out in keeping our readers up to date on every single announcement and occurance happening at the show; especially when this looks set to be the biggest Eurogamer Expo yet.

Among the playable games on show, we’re expecting to see a powerful games line-up, including Assassin’s Creed 3Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Crysis 3, Far Cry 3, God of War: Ascension and, well, a hell of a lot more. I’ll be there with my trusty HTC One X acting as a photo-camera, video-recorder, dictaphone, and general survival device. as Explosion will aim to bring you exclusive footage and stories that you won’t find anywhere else on the internet!

Aside from the playable delights on show, there will also be developer sessions happening throughout the whole expo, which will most likely reveal never-seen-before footage of games, as well as official announcements of games that we won’t have even heard of yet. Last year, for instance, BioWare announced the worldwide release date for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, while Naughty Dog treated us to never-seen-before footage of Uncharted 3. Suffice to say our expectations are through the roof.

Aside from the expected roster of blockbuster games, I will also be visiting Eurogamer’s Indie Games Arcade, where I’ll be sampling games many of you won’t have heard of yet, and writing up a list of my Top 3 Indie games of the show.

The Expo begins on Thursday 27th September, and will last for four days. Join us as we bring you the developments as they happen from the hallowed halls of Earl’s Court.
