After a few days of dead use, PrivatewaterhouseCooper, GAME’s administrators, have re-activated the Reward Card scheme.

It’s been a rocky few days for GAME and Gamestation. On Monday they had to cancel all Reward card and refund policies nationwide, leading to a lot of angry customers. People with large amounts of reward points on their GAME or Gamestation loyalty cards were anything from distressed to downright abusive towards staff members.

People up and down the country thought that all their preciously saved reward points were useless. Today, however, the administrators have announced that they are reactivating reward cards partially.

They released the following statement earlier today:

“Your Reward Cards have now been reactivated by the Administrators for redemption against pre-owned stock.

“This means that points can be earned on all products AND redeemed against pre-owned items as of now. This is only applies to Reward Cards only, at present moment.”

Whilst Reward Cards are still useable when buying pre-owned games and DVDs; gift cards are still non-redeemable. The same goes for those with Gamestation Elite cards, which are also in a state of suspension along with several other company policies.
