There are few games that have everybody talking as much as Naughty Dog’s upcoming survival action-adventure title, The Last of Us. Naughty Dog are the studio that are best known for bringing quality games to the PlayStation consoles, like the Crash Bandicoot series, the Jak series and their most recent offerings, the Uncharted series. Their next game is looking to carry on the legacy that they have built for themselves in the Uncharted games in bringing a strong narrative-driven style of gameplay with lots of cinematic elements and addictive gameplay, and it has gamers drooling over it. We are at the point where many feel that the whole “zombies” craze has seemed to have worn out its welcome, The Last of Us promises not to be “just another zombie” game, and instead focus on the survival of the main characters and their relationship to each other.

If you were lucky enough to be at this year’s E3, there is a chance that this video that was released today will be familiar to you, but if you weren’t, then you are in luck. This video, released today by Sony and Naughty Dog, is the full fifteen minute demo that was shown during E3 to the press and was only partially released to the public afterwards. Now the entire video is out and you can get a real feel for what the game will be about, thanks to this video.

The video starts off by showing how the main characters, Joel and Ellie interact throughout their adventure. Even while exploring, they stay in contact with each other and have discussions about their surroundings as well as life before the apocalypse. You can also see just how gorgeous the game really is while running, with lots of plant life to offset the broken-down buildings, making the atmosphere not just another drab adventure at the end of the world. You also get to see just how stressful and exciting the game can be, and how its mood and quickly shift in the blink of an eye.
