There have been plenty of game endings I’ve experienced during these past few “next-gen” years that, I must admit, have disappointed me immensely. Sometimes even to the point of utter frustration! BioShock is one of those infamous examples of a game in which the quality of the ending barely justifies the immenseness of the stellar gameplay. Is Mass Effect 3 another one of those to add to the list?

Well, if rumours are to be believed then the answer is a big fat yes. Rumour has it that Amazon are willingly offering refunds to all Mass Effect 3 owners who are dissatisfied with the game’s ending (or as internet meme’s are summing up nicely: multiple endings, all of them sh*t). Competition is rife here for who can take the most returns, as it appears that EA’s Origin is following the trend.

If you take a look at the BioWare forums, you may just find that a user who goes by the name of “t_i_e_”  claims to have successfully received a refund by simply contacting the Origin Help service and explaining how the game failed to deliver what the advertisements had promised.

MASS EFFECT REFUNDS FOR POOR ENDING

How do BioWare handle the situation? This must be embarrassing for their reputation, let alone their franchise which has had many (including our own reviewer Charles Battersby) people’s support over the years and consistently impeccable reviews.

Are you dissatisfied? Are you? Well if you are, it looks like you don’t have to work very hard to get a full refund. I think it’s a shame that the conclusion to the Mass Effect trilogy isn’t floating many peoples’ boats. Let us know what you think below!
