Unfortunately it doesn’t look like any new features is included, as the change log only mentions overall stability improvements when using certain features. The Firmware Update 1.74 is also on the small side, being only 194 MB big, so it shouldn’t make too much time to download for most gamers.

While the Firmware Update 1.74 hasn’t introduced any new feature, it’s been rumored that the Firmware Update 1.80 will actually be quite big, introducing several features that have been requested by users for quite a long time. No release date is known for the Firmware Update 1.80, but supposedly it should be coming right after the Gamescom next month. More details are surely going to come in the near future so stay tuned for all the latest news on the new PlayStation 4 firmware updates.

The PlayStation 4 console is now available in all regions. In less than a year of availability, the console has managed to become one of the more successful Sony consoles, with the console being sold out almost everywhere weeks after release.
