Another zombie game will be on its way later this year called Zombeer, Zombies and Beers. Moonbite, the Europe studio of games and animation have released the first gameplay trailer today.
The game is set in the future where a strange plague is turning everyone into zombies. The premise of the game sounds very familar, as the zombie genre has erupted in recent years.
The main characters name is ‘K’ and after a night of drinking he finds himself alone in a Mexican bar. He is confused and has the sinking feeling that something isn’t quite right. Turns out he has been bitten by a zombie and the virus is quickly taking control of his body. He soon discovers that drinking beer is the only way to stop the virus from completely taking over.
The gameplay video displays zombie cheerleaders wearing next to nothing, unusual weapons and of course a lot of zombie killings. One weapon that is featured in the video is called the ‘Octogun,’ which is creepily described as a ‘weapon that watches you.’
The trailer almost has the feel of Lollipop Chainsaw, another zombie game that was released earlier this year. The obvious resemblance between the two games is the combination of cheerleaders and zombies, but the humorous side in the Zombeer video is also familiar with that of Lollipop Chainsaw.
Although the trailer does make the game look like a lot of fun, lets just hope it offers a lot more than just killing zombie cheerleaders. If it does only involve mindless zombie killings it will never set itself apart from the various other zombie games out there.
Zombeer, Zombies and Beers is planned to be released on Xbox360, PlayStation 3, PC and Mac by the end of the year.
