Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes is going to have some exclusive bonus in Japan. What makes these bonuses interesting is that they are special DLCs for the full Metal Gear Solid V game, The Phantom Pain.
Certain Japanese retailers will be offering these special bonuses. Getting the game from Geo will allow gamers to get a special weapon for The Phantom Pain, while getting it from Tsutaya will award gamers with a Mother Base staff member for The Phantom Pain.
Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes is going to feature the same gameplay mechanics found in Metal Gear Solid V so that players can get used to them before the main game. Hideo Kojima and his team have decided to release the game ahead of Metal Gear Solid V so to make the wait for the new game more bearable.
The game will be set right after the ending of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, covering the gap between that game and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes will launch on March 18th on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. The next generation consoles will only get the game digitally while current gen ones will get it both physically and digitally.
