Despite a really strong first party line-up, the Nintendo Wii U is still struggling on the market. More exclusive third-party games would certainly help in improving the situation and it seems like Nintendo is trying to change things, if a recent rumor is to be believed.
According to Nico Wav of gaming website Gameblog, an exclusive third-party Wii U title will be released sometime next year. Wav notes how the game will be “in the vein of Bayonetta 2”. This could mean that it could be third person action game like Platinum Games’ title or a previously canned title that Nintendo picked up, something that has happened for Bayonetta 2. Without Nintendo’s involvement, the game would have never been developed.
2014 is shaping up to be a really strong year for Nintendo’s latest home console. Super Smash Bros and the latest Mario Kart will launch during the year, as well as the already mentioned Bayonetta 2 and many other titles. The 2014 titles join an already strong line up, which includes New Super Mario Bros U, Super Mario 3D World and many other high quality titles.
