A new Shin Megami Tensei is probably going to be released in North America soon, judging from the hints dropped by Atlus today.
The company has sent out a holiday greeting card through their Atlus Faithful newsletter. The letters making up the Atlus name show pictures taken from games like Shin Megami Tensei IV and Etrian Odyssey.
The letter A actually includes a new character that’s included in Shin Megami Tensei Devil Survivor 2: Break Record, the enhanced 3DS port of the role playing game released on Nintendo DS some time ago. This probably means that Atlus may be currently working on an English version of the game.
Devil Survivor 2 setting spans the whole country of Japan. Japanese high school students all over the country have received an email from a strange website foretelling deaths. With mysterious creatures roaming the country, these students form a pact , becoming able to summon demons. The plot will develop depending on the player’s choices, just like it was for the first Devil Survivor game.
Devil Survivor 2 Break Record will feature a Casual Mode as well as an Epilogue happening after the Septentrion invasion and other improvements.
Shin Megami Tensei Devil Survivor 2: Break Record was supposed to be released back in Summer in Japan. However the game was delayed and will now launch in Japan during 2014. We’ll keep you updated as soon as something new comes in on the Western localization of the game.
