Destiny Delayed, Now Releasing During September 2014
The online sci-fi shooter Destiny has been delayed. Bungie, the team behind the highly anticipated title, has confirmed that the game has been delayed to ensure it can live up to expectations.
“We first shared the design pillars of Destiny less than one year ago. We promised to redefine what players should expect from a Bungie game. We said we wanted to change the way people play games together. We set our bar high. For us, Destiny represents a once in a lifetime opportunity.”
“Since then, Destiny has continued to reveal its promise. Every new build brings us closer to our original vision. With those goals in sight, we intend to use every moment from now until the release of the game to ensure that Destiny lives up to your expectations, and our own.”
The Destiny beta has also been pushed back. It will now launch sometime during Summer 2014, instead of early 2014. The Beta version will be available first on PS3 and PS4.
Destiny will launch on September 9th 2014 on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Bungie revealed around a month ago that a PC version is not getting developed for a few different reasons.
