Namco Bandai has just released a new batch of screenshots for Dark Souls II, the action role-playing game developed by From Software releasing on consoles and PC next year.
The new screenshots showcase a variety of characters, monsters and locations. The game’s atmosphere looks really, really impressive. From Software must have thought that if players have to die repeatedly, it will be better to do so in some beautiful locations.

Dark Souls II is the sequel to the highly acclaimed action role-playing game Dark Souls and third entry in the Souls series developed by From Software.
Dark Souls II is going to be less “obscure” than its predecessors, with a few in-game tutorials that will explain the game’s many complicated systems. This doesn’t mean that the game will be any easier: death will always be near you and ready to take your soul away at your first mistake. Beware, adventures.
Dark SoulsII will be released sometime during March 2014 on Ps3, Xbox 360 and PC. While there are no plan for a next-gen release of the game, the series may land on Playstation 4 soon, as Demon’s Souls 2 may get announced in tomorrow’s Playstation 4 launch event.
