During today’s Nintendo Direct the Japanese company has revealed that a new DLC pack is going to be released early next month for Pikmin 3.
The new DLC pack will add eight new stages for Mission Mode: four Collect Treasure stages and four Battle Enemies stages.
Unlike the past extra contents, where the new missions where set in locations already available in the main game, the contents of the new Pikmin 3 DLC are going to be completely new, featuring new environments like beaches, a construction site and more.
Some new stages will also allow gamers to control Olimar, the Pikmin captain of the first two games of the series. During his stages, players will have to find Louie, his assistant. Once he’s been found, he’ll also become playable in the same stage.
Together with the new DLC pack, Nintendo will push a new title update for the game introducing support for the DLC as well as two extra free stages, set in the Fortress of Festivity. With so much more to do, you’ll be quite busy for a long time.
Pikmin 3 is now available in all regions as a Wii U exclusive game. The new DLC will hit North America on December 2nd.
