Angry Birds Star Wars, one of the spin-off titles created for Rovio’s Angry Birds series, has now been released on consoles.
The game is now available on Nintendo 3DS, PS3 and Xbox 360 thanks to Activision, who has published the game in North America and Europe.
Angry Birds Star Wars offers a slightly different Angry Birds gameplay experience. While the core game mechanics are pretty much the same, the birds now sport some special abilities inspired by those seen in the original Star Wars Trilogy, creating an exhilarating gameplay experience.
The console release of the game comes with some new features not seen in the mobile release like 20 console exclusive levels, a co-op and competitive multiplayer mode, achievements and trophies, leaderboards and Kinect support for the Xbox 360 version. Every other feature of the mobile release is of course in: except to be engaged for a long time before being able to complete all the 200 stages found in the game.
To mark the game’s release, Activision has released a few new screenshots for the game. You can check them out by going at the end of this post.
Angry Birds Star Wars has also been announced for PS4 and Xbox One, releasing on a yet to be revealed date.
