With an unprecedented move, Nintendo has taken action against Pokemon X&Y leakers.
A few days ago some retailers in Canada and Italy have sold copies of the game ahead of the release date. A few of these lucky customers have started posting pics taken from the game, revealing the many surprises found in the new Pokemon games.
We have avoided reporting on these findings to not spoil the susprise for all Pokemon trainers. Still, the leaks were out there and many fans have been following these leakers.
The thing has become so big that Nintendo has decided to act. All the images from the leaker’s Instagram profile have been removed and only a single “Got Nintendo’d” image can be seen on the profile.
The leaker has posted an update a few hours ago, revealing how Nintendo has acted. The Japanese company has done something that no publisher has ever done before.
“Nintendo flew a representative out this afternoon and went to the local game shop where I picked up X. The Nintendo rep had said heads were rolling at Nintendo because of the leaks. I gave up my copy of the game to try and help keep the local game shop out of trouble and to keep my friend from losing his job.”
Don’t mess with Nintendo, folks. They can get anywhere and make you pay if ruin their plans.
Pokemon X and Y will officially be released on October 12th in North America and Europe.
