The latest issue of Famitsu has revealed earlier this week that Square Enix will be releasing Final Fantasy Agito on iOS and Android before the end of the year.
The game will be a new take on the setting and characters found in the Japanese only game Final Fantasy Type-0, released on PSP some time ago.
It looks like Square Enix will bring this game to the West, according to some trademark filings that have emerged this morning. Both the game’s name and logo have been trademarked for Europe so there’s a really good chance that we may be able to enjoy this game in English and other languages in the near future.
Final Fantasy Agito will be produced by Hajime Tabata who has also produced Final Fantasy Type-0. The game will feature a high-speed combat system, a fully customizable character, a story that will change depending on your earned votes, a new Job system and more. All the characters from Final Fantasy Type-0 will also return, now separated into different classes.
Final Fantasy Agito will release on iOS and Android this Winter in Japan. We’ll keep you updated as soon as something new emerges on the Western release of the game.
