Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn has been released yesterday all over the world and it looks like it’s been doing great, judging by the problems Square Enix is having with the game’s servers: the Japanese company probably didn’t expect so many players to buy the game.
In the attempt to improve the situation, Square Enix has announced today that the digital version of the game will not be available for some time. The company will put the digital version back on sale as soon as they have increased the server capacity in the coming days, to allow all players to play online without any problem.
This doesn’t mean that you won’t be able to buy the game in any form: the physical retail Pc and Ps3 versions of the game are still available for purchase.
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn corrected many of the issues that plagued the original Final Fantasy XIV while adding a lot of new gameplay elements as well as new areas to explore: the game’s plot begins after the ending of the original Final Fantasy XIV where the world was scarred by a cataclysmic event. This cataclysmic event is definitely a good plot device to introduce new areas as well as changes to the older cities and locations of the game.
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is now available on Pc and Ps3. A Ps4 version will be released sometime in the future.
