Persona 4 Arena has been released not too long ago in Japanese Arcades before being released on consoles last year. The Persona 4 spin-off has been developed by Arc System Works, the team behind some of the best 2D fighting games ever created like Guilty Gear and Blazblue.
According to a report from Famitsu, a new Persona 4 Arena game is currently in developement, with the team doing some testing for the game in two locations in Japan.
It’s not clear if the game is going to be a full sequel or just an updated version of the original Persona 4 Arena. Among the new features found in the new Persona 4 Arena are two new characters: Yukari Takeba and Junpei Iori, both coming from Persona 3. The characters sport a new design and unique fighting style, with Yukari using a bow and being a pretty fast character and Junpei being more focused on power attacks.
No screenshots have been released as of now but you can check out some off-screen photos published by Famitsu by going here.
