Comic-Con just recently ended, but not before Sony could show off two new characters for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. Cole MacGrath and Jak & Daxter are the newest additions to the ever growing list of characters for PlayStation All-Stars. This isn’t really a surprise considering that a few months back the Cole MacGrath voice actor for Eric Ladin leaked that he was happy to be back playing MacGrath but not for Infamous 3.

So people just assumed he was talking about PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, and apparently he was because Sony has confirmed that Cole MacGrath will be one of the characters in PlayStation All-Stars.

As for Jak & Daxter, I wouldn’t say this is much of a surprise either as Jak & Daxter are two of Sony’s most recognizable video game characters. People have been expecting this announcement for a while now and Sony finally relented yesterday and confirmed the duo would be selectable characters in PlayStation All-Stars.

Jak & Daxter will work as a team in PlayStation All-Stars that will consist of mostly long range attacks. In addition, Jack will have a multitude of weapons but will also be able to change into “Light and Dark Jak forms”.

Cole MacGrath on the other hand will have multiple lightning attacks as you would have guessed. During the press conference multiple lighting attacks were demonstrated including: lightening grenades, ice spikes, and a devastating tornado.

I would say that this announcement has been a long time coming because I believe everyone expected these three characters to show up in the game it was just a matter of Sony making the formal announcement. However, now it will be interesting to see who else Sony is including in PlayStation All-Stars because the only main character from a well known franchise not announced yet is Solid Snake.

Not to say that there are not any other major Sony main characters, just that biggest name characters that people where expecting to be in the game have been announced (except Solid Snake). Any other character announced for the game at this point will be unexpected, there are rumors but as of right now there are no major leads as to who the next characters will be, unless like I said it is Solid Snake and he is the only character left I would probably guarantee will be in the game.
