Yesterday we have reported some new details on the multiplayer mode of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, coming later this year on consoles and Pc. Today a few new screenshots for the multiplayer mode have been released by Ubisoft: you can check them out by going here
Even though the naval features of the game are one of the main focuses of Black Flag, Ubisoft hasn’t been able to implement them in the online multiplayer modes: a dedicated team has worked for over 2 years on the single player naval battles, trying to make a perfect simulation of the ocean. Doing the same for the multiplayer mode was going to take a long time and it wasn’t feasible with the time the team had: at the same time, many inside the team thought that naval battles wouldn’t really suit the Assassin’s Creed multiplayer experience.
Together with the naval gameplay features, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will feature many improvements that will set it apart from previous entries of the series: for the first time in the series, players will be able to explore the full map sooner during the game. The game’s world will also be seamless, without being divided into different areas like it was in the past.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will launch on Ps3, Xbox 360 and Wii U on October 29 in North America and on November 1st in Europe. The game will launch on a later date on Pc, Ps4 and Xbox One.
