IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad is the latest PC flight sim from developer 1C Company, and the devs have given us a bit of new information on their new title. According to the developer, “This new entry into this series will offer virtual pilots and players an even more accurate reproduction of the legendary air battles of World War II.”
It promises, “A new, higher level of physics modeling, damage modeling and aerodynamics has been achieved. Battle of Stalingrad will include several famous aircraft that have been recreated from detailed drawings and blueprints and they will fly over the most ambitious and detailed reconstruction ever attempted in a flight-sim of the most critical battle on the Eastern Front.” Pre-order deals have been announced, with $49.99 Standard Edition and $89.99 Premium Edition versions available.
Standard Edition orders will get early access in winter 2013 prior to public release scheduled for early 2014. Buyers of Premium Edition will get the early access in autumn 2013, says 1C. Premium Edition buyers will also get two special planes at launch (La-5 and FW-190 A-3). Head to the official site to place your order. 1C Company has become pretty popular for these WW2 flying simulators, and Battle of Stalingrad aims to be their best yet.
