Dragon’s Crown, the latest sidescrolling action role-playing game developed by Vanillaware, will finally launch in Japan this week, with the North American release coming earlier next month. Some new interesting gameplay details have now been revealed, showing how the game will be offering even more than what was expected.
Apparently Dragon’s Crown will feature three different level caps, depending on the difficulty level: Normal mode will have a level cap of 35, Hard mode will have a level cap of 65 while Inferno mode will have a level cap of 99.
The Hard and Inferno mode will have to be unlocked by meeting certain conditions. Once the Inferno mode has been completed, the Labyrinth of Chaos will be unlocked, a randomly generated dungeons that will keep players engaged for quite a long time.
Vannillaware has also revealed that players will be able to obtain some special items that will reset skill progression, allowing players to customize their characters from the beginning. These items, however, will be quite rare and hard to obtain.
Dragon’s Crown will launch in North America on August 6th for Ps3 and PsVita: the European release of the game will be coming sometime this Fall, as announced by NISA last week.
