Sega has finally confirmed the release date for the latest Sonic the Hedgehog game called Sonic Lost World, coming exclusively on Nintendo Wii U and 3DS. The game will be available on both consoles starting from October 22nd. Some new small gameplay details have also been confirmed: Sonic will get a lot of different Color powers, each with its own unique use, that will be controlled with the Gamepad.
Sonic Lost World will be pretty much the same for both versions of the game: however there are going to be some exclusive features for each version. On the Wii U players will be able to control the Color Powers using the Gamepad by tilting, touching and aiming; the Wii U version will also feature an Off-Tv play feature as well as a 2-player support mode.
The 3DS version of Sonic Lost World will be the first Sonic portable game to feature 3D stages: Sega and Nintendo have also revealed that the 3DS version will have unique Special Stages and Color Powers.
Both the 3DS and Wii U version will also feature a competitive online multiplayer mode.
Sonic Lost World will release on October 22nd on Wii U and 3DS: the game is a Nintendo exclusive and won’t be released on other consoles.
