The console version of Diablo III was definitely an unexpected surprise: the Ps3 and Ps4 version of the highly successful Blizzard game have been revealed during the Playstation Meeting back in February, where Sony also revealed the first details on the new Playstation console.
While the Ps3 version of Diablo III will be released in just two months, it looks like next generation gamers will have to wait until next year: Blizzard has confirmed that the next-gen version of the game will be released sometime during 2014 since the team has only just received the new console generation development kit. The team has also confirmed that they will be trying to do something cool with the trackpad and share button of the Ps4 controller.
Bringing the game on consoles has been a challenge for the team since the interface and some of the features had to be reworked so that they may function properly on a console environment and with a joypad. According to a few earlier reports Diablo III on Ps3 will be as fun as on PC. The Ps3 version of Diablo III will also have an offline mode, a local and online co-op mode but lack the controversial Auction House.
Diablo III will be launching on September 7th on Ps3 and Xbox 360. The Ps4 version will be coming sometime next year.
