Nintendo has revealed a few minutes ago on its Official Super Smash Bros site that a new character has been added for the game, coming next year on Wii U and 3DS. Pikmin fans will definitely be happy to be able to play as Olimar, a Pikmin captain and one of the main characters of the series. Check out the first Olimar screenshots at the end of this post
Super Smash Bros has been in development for quite some time: the game has been officially revealed during the E3 with its first trailer. Aside from the new characters additions and some returning characters, not much else is known about the game. Sakurai has confirmed some time ago that the game will be getting a single player campaign that’s going to be different from the one included in Super Smash Bro. Brawl.
Many of the game elements are still in the works: Sakurai himself revealed that the team is currently thinking about including character customization for the game. The single player campaign is also still in the works: Sakurai, however, was able to confirm that it will be nothing like the one found in the previous Super Smash Bros game.
Super Smash Bros. will launch on Wii U and 3DS sometime during 2014.
