New details have emerged on the upcoming J-Stars Victory VS, the fighting game currently in development for Ps3 and PsVita featuring a lot of different manga characters taken from series published on Shonen Jump.
The game was originally announced back in December on Shonen Jump: the game is currently being developed to commemorate the 45th anniversary of Shonen Jump. The already confirmed characters are Son Goku from Dragon Ball, Monkey D. Luffy from One Piece, Toriko from the series with the same name and Naruto Uzumaki from the Naruto series, Kenshin Himura from Rurouni Kenshin and Ichigo Kurosaki from Bleach.
J-Stars Victory VS is going to feature 2 VS 2 battles: each player will have to choose two characters before each match. Players will only be able to control one of the two characters, with the other one controlled by the AI.
Players will be able to chain together basic attacks and special power attacks if you have enough meter to perform them: this meter is shared between the two characters of your team and when all three segments are full you will be able to do an ultimate attack with two characters. One of the available combination special attacks is between Naruto and Goku: the young ninja will use a Rasenshuriken while Goku will be launching a Kamehameha from the air.
