Senior Game Designer at Machine Games Andreas Öjerfors recently sat down and revealed some new details on Wolfenstein: The New Order. Andreas talked about the various difficulty modes that will be available, mentioning that the hardest difficulty setting will make you “cry blood.” The new game was created with the hard difficulty settings in mind, and hardcore fans will fine solace in the harder modes. Andreas said that even the normal setting will be challenging for players.
“We want it to be a real, real challenge for people. This is not an easy game. Of course we have the five difficulty levels of the original Wolfenstein 3D, like everything from Daddy Can I Play? to I Am Death Incarnate. So you can turn it down or turn it up if you want to. But like the default, normal setting of the game, it’s going to be a challenging experience. It’s difficult, but it’s always fair. You’re never really cheated. It’s always your fault if you die.”
Wolfenstein: The New Order became a big hit with players who actually got to play the game for the first time at E3. Wolfenstein: The New Order will be released on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox 360, and Xbox One later this year.
