Killzone: Shadow Fall is definitely one of the most anticipated Ps4 titles: both the team and Sony have stated more than once that the game will truly show what the Ps4 is capable of. Some new details on the game have emerged today and it looks like the team is going to be using some of the new features offered by the Dual Shock 4 in a few interesting ways.
Apparently players will have an AI companion during the single player campaign, a robot that will support players while attacking enemies, crossing the battlefield and more. This companion will not be controlled only by the AI: players will be able to use the Dual Shock 4 touch pad to control the robot and even give it orders by using the speaker of the controller and the headset jack.
Killzone: Shadow Fall takes place 30 years after the events of Killzone 3. Set in an era of interplanetary colonization, it focuses on the conflict between the Vektans and the Helghast, two rival colonist factions inhabiting a distant planet. For three decades, both factions have lived side by side, separated by an enormous security wall: their cold war is about to go hot.
Lucas Kellan, a member of the military intelligence unit known as the Shadow Marshals, will be the new main character. Kellan’s missions will range from quiet infiltrations to all-out combat.
Killzone: Shadow Fall will be released later this year on Ps4 as an exclusive game. Another game of the series will be released this year: Killzone Mercenary will be released on PsVita sometime during September in North America and Europe.
