Without a doubt one of the most impressive games at this year’s E3 was Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. At E3 Hideo Kojima and Konami showcased some of the game’s dramatic build and some of the actual gameplay from the title, showing that it will be a true open-world Metal Gear Solid experience that fans have been clamoring for. Kojima isn’t looking to just impress with Metal Gear Solid V, though, he is looking to finally push videogames forward a bit and to not only be competitive with western games, but to outsell them.
The Metal Gear Solid games have delighted fans of the series for a long time now, but Kojima is looking to make a bigger impact with Metal Gear Solid V, to please fans all over the globe, he said in a recent interview with Famitsu. He believes that hardware has gotten a lot more advanced, but that gameplay has been stagnant for a while now, which he is hoping to push forward with Metal Gear Solid V.
