The Bureau: XCOM Declassified Will Be Getting DLC Packs After Launch
2K Games and 2K Marin have revealed that the upcoming first person shooter The Berau: XCOM Declassified will receive additional contents post launch. The DLC packs for the game will include narrative driven add-ons that will expand the game’s story further, telling in even greater detail the origins of the XCOM organization.
The two companies have also revealed the first pre-order bonuses for the game: all pre-orders will receive a bonus campaign side-mission called “Codebreakers”: during the mission Special Agent Certer and his squad will have to bring back online a top-secret government communications facility. Together with the Codebreakers missions, all preorders will also receive a special in-game item called Light Plasma Pistol.
The Bureau: XCOM Declassified is set during the The Cold War in 1962 and it will cover the origins of the XCOM organization. In the beginning, the organization is set up to investigate the Soviets: however things change rather quickly when it’s discovered that aliens are ready to invade the planet.
While the game will be a third person shooter it will still retain some tactical squad mechanics: this time, however, players will find themselves right in the field instead of just watching the consequences of their actions.
The Bureau: XCOM Declassified will be available on August 20 on Ps3, Xbox 360 and Pc.
