Both the current gen and next gen versions of Call of Duty: Ghosts are being developed by Infinity Ward, saying that they don’t want people to feel that current gen versions are an afterthought. The developers will be handling both versions of the game with the same amount of care, even with the better visuals on the Xbox One and PS4 versions, the current gen systems will still get great experiences according to Activision’s CEO of publishing, Eric Hirshberg.
“We have the same development team working on the games for the next generation and the current generation, because what this ensures is that the current generation isn’t an afterthought or something that is just outsourced,” Hirshberg told Polygon. “We want to be sure that we consider the things that are the innovations going into the next generation of games that the current generation can benefit from.
Activision has been showing off Call of Duty: Ghosts over the past week, and it has received the same amount of criticism it has gotten over the past few years. Gamers haven’t been receiving CoD: Ghosts as well as other first person shooters like, Killzone: Shadow Fall, Titanfall, or even Battlefield 4. Those games are really pushing the limits of FPS games, especially in terms of visuals.
