PES 2014 has just been revealed yesterday: Konami has released the first details on the game together with the first screenshots of the latest entry of their long running soccer game series. The Japanese publisher has also revealed that the game will be getting released on Ps3, Xbox 360 and PC. As we have reported yesterday, the game will not be released on the next generation consoles and on current generation portable consoles.
PES Community Manager Adam Bhatti explained the reason behind the lack of these versions of the game: the next generation version of PES has to be something else, not just the same game with better graphics: the team wants to aim higher and offer a different gameplay experience. PES on PsVita and 3DS won’t come because of low install base and low demand respectively.
Bhatti has confirmed this morning that PES 2014 will not be released on Wii U as well: he answered a question about the Wii U version from a fan on Twitter, simply stating that there’s no demand for it.
Third party games and multiplatform releases have been having a hard time on the latest Nintendo home console so it actually makes sense for Konami to not release PES 2014 on Wii U.
