The long, long, long-awaited Far Cry 3 has been pushed back, so that long, long wait just got a bit longer.
Ubisoft revealed earlier today that the game was being delayed to make an even better experience, but this means that the game orginially projected for an August release would now not see the light of day until November 29th in the US, and not until December 4th in the UK. A delay is all well and good, but we’ve had this game showcased to us two E3s in a row now, and the wait is getting a bit ridiculous.
“We’re taking more time to create the best possible gameplay experience,” said Dan Hay, producer at Ubisoft. “Far Cry 3 is a huge offering and we want every element of this insane, action-packed adventure to be of the highest possible quality for the players.”
It’s being delayed on all platforms as well, which means that PC gamers and console gamers alike are getting more and more frustrated. PC gamers are especially annoyed, as Assassin’s Creed III just got delayed on PC for no good reason, and Ubisoft may end up doing it again with Far Cry 3.
So. Still looking forward to this game? Or has the ever-increasing delay put you off?
