We may be seeing more of that captivating Wii U game by Monolith Soft, creators of Xenoblade Chronicles, code-named “X” very soon. Kaori Tanaka, wife of Monolith Soft Director Tetsuya Takahashi and known by her pen name “Soraya Saga”, has retweeted Nintendo’s tweet reminding fans that the upcoming pre-E3 Nintendo Direct will air on Tuesday, June 11th.
The retweet is speculated to mean that X will appear in said broadcast. Seem a little far-fetched? Tanaka did the same thing back in January, retweeting Nintendo’s reminder of the Wii U Nintendo Direct special. It was in this broadcast that we saw the first footage of the game.
I sincerely hope the game does make an appearance, and I’d be very surprised if it didn’t regardless of Tanaka’s retweet. Xenoblade was one of the greatest Wii RPGs ever, and perhaps among the greatest of the last generation. With this spiritual successor already so beautiful and maintaining similar gameplay aspects, it’s shaping up to be one of the Wii U’s most anticipated game.
