Out of all of the games that are being hyped up for release sometime over the next year or so, for some reason Bungie’s upcoming Destiny holds a special place for a lot of us. Maybe it is because this is Bungie’s first non-Microsoft project since they parted ways with Microsoft, leaving their beloved Halo behind. Destiny feels like a big deal because a developer who could have had anything that they wanted as long as they kept churning out Halo games instead opted to do something different and new.
Today Bungie and Activision released a new trailer, which sadly does not contain gameplay footage but instead live action and CG composites, but it is enough to give you an impression of the game. Add in the fact that Giancarlo Esposito, Gustavo Fring from Breaking Bad (yeah, I know, and Tom Neville from Revolution) does some narration work reading the “Law of the Jungle,” it is pretty awesome. The best part about it might be that in the description it explains that they will actually show some gameplay from Destiny on June 10th at Sony’s E3 event.
