The highly anticipated Battlefield 4 has finally received a release date: the game will be available later this year, on October 29th. On that day players will be able to buy and enjoy the game on Ps3, Xbox 360 and Pc. Since the next generation Xbox has been officially unveiled yesterday, EA has also confirmed that Battlefield 4 will be available on Xbox One: a release date for the next-gen version of the game has yet to be revealed.
Electronic Arts has also revealed one of the new pre-order bonuses for Battlefield 4: all players pre-ordering the game will gain access to the Chinese Rising Expansion pack. The DLC pack will allow players to “fight for dominance across the vast and majestic Chinese mainland in four massive maps, using all-new vehicles and high-tech military equipment.”
On a related note, DICE and EA have also confirmed that we’ll definitely know more about Battlefield 4 during the upcoming E3: more details of the multiplayer mode of the game will also be unveiled. Battlefield fans will be able to follow the reveal live, since EA has confirmed that they will be live streaming the event.
Battlefield 4 is coming on Ps3, Xbox 360, Pc and next generation consoles. It doesn’t look like the Wii U is going to get the game since DICE has confirmed that the console may not be able to handle the new Frostbite engine used to power up the game.
