A new trailer for Shin Megami Tensei IV has been released today: the new video shows the beginning of the game, with players taking the test to become a Samurai. Together with this, dungeon exploration and battles are also shown: you can take a look at the video here.
Shin Megami Tensei IV is the first numbered entry of the series to get released on a portable console, with all the previous entries getting home console releases. Many of the series’ staples will come back in the 3DS entry of the series: demon negotiations will be in and deeper than ever, the press turn battle system will come back with a few tweaks which give a good advantage to both player and enemies if weaknesses are exploited multiple times. Shin Megami Tensei IV will also include the usual karma system which will influence some parts of the story as well as the ending.
Demon fusion is also back and better than ever: Atlus has streamlined the process a lot so that players won’t have to go through many menus in order to produce some new demons.
Making the best out of the 3DS unique features, Shin Megami Tensei IV will also include some exclusive Streetpass features.
Shin Megami Tensei will launch in North America on July 16th: the European release will come during this Summer.
