There are some gamers who are really excited about the Oculus Rift VR device, even if they are a very small subset of gamers. The VR headset has been all of the talk among some of the PC circles and we’ve seen developers like Valve, id Software and Mojang seem very interested in the Oculus Rift, with some even promising to support it when it is eventually released some time in 2014. Now one of the most popular and beloved FPS games of all time has been patched up for the Oculus Rift by the way of Valve’s Half-Life 2.
Valve announced today that they have updated Half-Life 2 with support for the upcoming Oculus Rift, although the support might not be as smooth as that of the support for some of their other games, like Team Fortress 2. Users who wish to opt-in for Half-Life 2 Oculus Rift support need to just put in a few commands into the command line for the game and will opt-in for the patch when it goes live.
