Last year it was reported that Silicon Knights the creators of the original Eternal Darkness had essentially been shut down. But before they were closed they had started work on a sequel to Eternal Darkness, but were never able to finish due to the company’s financial situation. However, today there is hope for fans of the series as a Eternal Darkness spiritual successor Kickstarter has been announced.
The game is titled Shadow of the Eternals and it is being developed by a studio called Precursor Games. However, Silicon Knights’ former president Denis Dyack may have a major hand in the development of the game according to IGN on twitter. The crowdfunding campaign will begin on May 6th but at this point there are no details on how much money is being asked for.
Unfortunately there are not many other official details about the game at the moment, including what system the game is being developed for; but all will probably be revealed on May 6th. For the full teaser trailer you can go here.
