The Zone Of The Enders HD Collection has been released a few months ago on Ps3 and Xbox 360: the collection included the two Zone Of The Enders games released on Ps2 during the previous console generation with upgraded graphics and a couple other tweaks.
Unfortunately the HD collection was far from perfect: Hideo Kojima himself acknowledged that the transition from 30 to 60 FPS in HD didn’t go as expected, with the frame rate being unstable and some special effects not showing where they should.
Kojima has announced that the team is now working on a new title update for the collection which should fix these problems for the Ps3 version of the HD collection. Unfortunately Xbox 360 owners will be disappointed in knowing that no patch will be released for the Xbox 360 version.
Speaking about the series as a whole Kojima has also confirmed that the new Zone Of The Enders project has now been put on hold: the team that was working on it has been disbanded. Kojima has stated that he wants to re-evaluate the series as a whole and asses fan demand before moving on with the project.
Zone Of The Enders HD Collection is now available for Ps3 and Xbox 360: the game is now also available for purchase from the Playstation Store.
