Earlier today in an interview with Ukrainian tech website ITCChannel, 4A Games creative director Andrew Prokhorov seem to indicate that a Metro: Last Light PS4 version of the game was in the works. However, just recently Deep Silver has come out and said that something was lost in the translation of the interview because they can’t confirm a PS4 version of the game just yet.
According to Deep Silver, 4A Games does want to release an SDK for Metro, finish the “promising multiplayer component”, and investigate a PS4 version Metro: Last Light. However, none of these “ideas” are in development at this time. Deep Silver went on to say specifically that no next generation console version of Metro: Last Light is in development at this time.
Deep Silver then said that it will be some time before any of these ideas can be committed to; and going on to say that any of these “ideas” could happen or none of them could happen. So it is possible we will see a PS4 version of Metro: Last Light but it may be a while before we hear of see anything of consequence.
