Rayman Legends is the sequel to the 2D platform game Rayman Origins, released more than a year ago on all home and portable consoles. The game marked Rayman’s return to 2D , with an incredibly engaging platform game focusing on exploration and multiplayer action.
Rayman Legends was originally supposed to be a Wii U exclusive, getting released on the same day as the new Nintendo console back in November. Unfortunately the game has been delayed a couple of times before Ubisoft announced that the last delay has been decided so that the game might come out on Ps3 and Xbox 360 as well. The extra development time is also going to be used to include even more stages to the game.
Earlier today Ubisoft has confirmed that Rayman Legends will be available on all formats on August 30. In the attempt to make the delay easier to endure, Ubisoft has also released the new Rayman Legends Online Challenges App for free on the Wii U eShop: the app will feature daily and weekly challenges, where players will have to complete different objectives as quickly as they can. You can take a look at a trailer of the app here.
Together with the already announced formats, some rumors state that the game will be launched on PsVita too: as of today a couple of online retailers have listed the PsVita version of Rayman Legends. Ubisoft, however, has still to confirm or deny the rumor.
